Loket and surroundings

Loket is a town full of beauty and memorable places. Just to see local historical monuments is enough for most of the tourists to keep them busy for the whole time of their stay. For those who would like to explore also other interesting places of the Western Bohemia, we prepared brief list of the most interesting places in the vicinity.

Loket nad Ohří

The most visited historical monument here is definitely the medieval castle. But on the way you can find many other historical monuments, worth visit or at least notice.

Svatošské skály

You will come across this natural formation if you head from Loket to Karlovy Vary along the educational path on foot or by bike. Besides the pleasant walk and informative boards you can enjoy meeting with rock wedding leaded by groom and bride.

Karlovy Vary

You definitely should put the visit of biggest health resort town of Czech Republic on your list. Unforgettable atmosphere is waiting for you and apart from this there are colonnades, historic spa buildings, outlook towers, museums, excursion trails, cableway car ride and other great experiences to be enjoyed. Ostrov

This town on the foothills of Krusne hory mountains is attracting tourists to newly restored monastic premises and castle park, that was once known as „eighth world wonder“. From all historical monuments you can visit here, lets name at least The Old Town hall, Einsiedel chapel, monastic church of Virgin Mary and many others. Children will be definitely delighted by all kind of animals in local Eco-centre.

he town of Cheb was established already in 11th century AD. Significant role which Cheb played in country defense is proved by local medieval castle with city fortification dated to 12th century AD. Mariánské Lázně

Architecture of this youngest Czech health resort goes by the spirit of art noveaou and neo-renaissance. You don’t have to come to Marianske Lazne only to get a spa treatment. Thousands of tourists are lured here by singing fountain, spa colonnades and pavilions, Saint Vladimir church, assumption of Virgin Mary church and many others.

Bečov nad Teplou

Bečov is popular among the tourists because of local castle and palace complex. But historical interiors, castle expositions and stunning palace gardens are not the only attraction worth a visit. Teplá

Trip to Tepla is worth a while. You will find here monastery complex founded already in 12th century AD. In this small town close to Marianske Lazne you can find apart from children spa resort also beautiful castle.
